The sun is out, the grass is green and flowers are blooming. Spring is finally here, and it’s time to embrace bright colors. This week many Lehigh students wore all sorts of colorful spring trends as they returned from spring break. This Fashionista, however, stood out among that crowd of students with her edgy style. Her neon pink blazer and fitted Aztec-printed pants caught my attention.
It’s impossible to walk into stores these days without being completely bombarded with hundreds of tribal and Aztec-inspired prints. These prints are everywhere: pants, shirts, dresses, shoes, scarves, etc. Tribal print is no-brainer trend when it comes to summer attire, however this Fashionista decided to switch things up. I love how she didn’t wear the same printed dress as everyone else. Instead, she rocks a bold pair of black and white printed pants.
This Fashionista paired her tribal pants with a neon pink blazer. It created the perfect combination of print and color. Any sort of neon blazer, handbag or other accessory would have played up the print perfectly. If you’re not willing to go all out to wear tribal printed pants, try wearing a simple tank and pairing it with other solid colors. Try this one from River Island.
So my Lehigh Fashionistos and Fashionistas, my STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: go tribal. Take some style tips from this week’s trendy Fashionista, incorporate bright colors and bold prints in your outfits. This spring season, embrace different kinds of prints and pair them with bright cheerful colors.
