STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Give Spring A Patterned Welcome

Style Advice of the Week

After such a long winter, I could not be more excited that it is slowly starting to feel like spring! I am beyond ready to pack up my sweaters and parka jackets to make room for pastels and ballet flats. However, we are still in that time of year when dips in the temperature aren’t uncommon. Even though the calendar may say it’s spring, those chilly days still exist. This Fashionista, on her way out to dinner with friends, was wearing an outfit perfect for this transition from winter to spring.

In this outfit, the fun factor came from this Fashionista’s printed denim. She chose to pair them with a solid blue T-shirt. Wearing nude heels with the printed denim totally elongated her legs, which is of course never a bad thing! The addition of a beige bag and jacket allowed the main focus to be on her pants. This jacket acted as a perfect layer when transitioning into spring because of how lightweight, but still warm, it was. The accessories this Fashionista wore with her outfit added just enough of a finishing touch.

While this was a perfect outfit for going out to eat with friends, some simple swaps could easily allow it to be worn for classes like a pair of flats instead of heels and a roomy tote to substitute for her cross-body bag. When we are in the midst of spring and the weather is a little warmer, a tank in a brighter color and wedge sandals would make an outfit appropriate for a day date or casual function. Whatever the weather, bring your own sunshine by adding a fun piece, like printed pants, to your outfit!
