If everyone was jumping off of a bridge, would you jump too? If the answer is no, than you’re already trendier than most people. All Fashionistas and Fashionistos know that it is better to stand out in a crowd than to be the same as everyone else. Patterns, colors, styles and textures are all different ways that you can make yourself stand out among a sea of similar people.
It’s obvious that this week’s Fashionista caught my eye due to her super cute and original pants. The wide-legged style of these pants is a modern day interpretation of the bell bottoms fad from the 1960s. In the ’60s, bell bottoms were considered high fashion for both men and women. By 1967 however, the look was adopted to be a part of the hippie counter-culture movement. By the ’70s, bell bottoms moved over to mainstream fashion with the help of popular music icons Sonny and Cher.
The geometric pattern of this Fashionista’s pants is what I like the best about the look and the floral cuff on the bottom of these pants are a sure way to help her stand out. The black cropped top that she paired with the pants is a fun and hip way to modernize the pants. The mesh netting around the neckline of the shirt is a flirty look that dresses the outfit up and makes it wearable for any multitude of occasions. While this outfit may be inappropriate to wear to a five-star restaurant with your boyfriend’s grandparents, it is perfect to wear for a night out in the city with your lucky man.
The shoes that this Fashionista added to the look are a perfect way to tie it all together. The gold metal emblems on the shoes matches the gold jewelry that she wore and it puts the finishing touches on the outfit flawlessly.
