STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fuzzy Fun

Finals are over, which means the holidays can officially begin. Everyone is back home with family and friends. The final touches are being added to the Christmas tree, and last minute holiday parties are being planned. The refrigerators are stocked with eggnog, the gingerbread cookies are baking in the oven and Christmas music is playing just about everywhere you go.

Now all you need is a cozy outfit to wear to sit by the fireplace, with a cup of hot chocolate in one hand and a book in the other.

This Fashionista nails the casual fireside look.

Her fuzzy jacket is the focal point of the outfit, and it’s my favorite. This jacket is an absolute must-have for the season; it’s such an edgy and super cuddly item that has been popping up everywhere. Best of all, it’s a versatile piece that can be worn for every occasion, whether it’s for a relaxing night at home or for a holiday dinner with your friends.

The jacket can be dressed up or down, depending on what other pieces you pair it with. If you want to incorporate the jacket into your everyday wardrobe, wear it with some simple jeans, just like this Fashionista does. She pairs it with a plain T-shirt and some tan tie up boots to complete the look.

I love the combination of the fuzzy jacket, the light wash jeans and the tan boots. By wearing simple pieces, it allows all of the attention to go to the jacket, which is a statement piece that will make you stand out wherever you go.

All of the pieces and colors this Fashionista combines complement each other so well. The final touch is some dark red lipstick, which is a must-have color for the season. It’s perfect to wear to all the holiday parties!

So make sure to invest in a fuzzy jacket—it’s fun, super warm and fashionable. You will thank me when the freezing January temperatures come along.

Remember to wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in this holiday season! But be sure to take some fashion risks; make it your New Years resolution to wear something you may have been afraid to wear in the past!
