Style Advice of the Week

A snowstorm just hit the East Coast. Quick! What do you do? Take it from a girl who goes to school in Maine–don’t ruin your cute leather boots trudging around in the snow. Instead, wear a cute pair that’s built for the tough weather! Everyone thinks that L.L.Bean boots are the only way to go. They’re awesome; I even own a pair myself. However, today I’m going to show you that there are other alternatives that will also do the trick.

This Fashionista has mastered the look! Her boots are perfect for the snowy weather, as they are waterproof. Moreover, the pattern is awesome! The red plaid is a classic winter look. By taking it in a small dose and incorporating it into her footwear, this Fashionista makes the classic look more modern. It’s unexpectedly chic, but more importantly functional!

These Timberland boots are super trendy. The burgundy color is super unique. Plus the top rolls over so that you can see a cute pattern! It’s sweet and it makes these usually manly boots more feminine. Check out these wool and rubber boots from Hunter. The checked pattern is perfect for the winter. Also, Hunter sells these amazing welly socks that will keep your feet nice and toasty through the bitter cold. If you want a little more glam, try these boots from Sperry Top-Siders. The black will match anything, and the glitter is something that I’ve ever seen on snow boots!

Before you go out into the cold, make sure that you’ve weatherproofed your boots if they need to be. Wear thick socks, and you’re definitely set for whatever weather will come!
