New York Fashion Week, known to many as the greatest week of the year, has come to an end (tear tear). But no worries – I’ve got you covered on how to wear all of those fabulous trends seen on the runway in your everyday life. Bright floral designs mixed with funky patterns were seen all over the runway this past week. Oscar de la Renta, J.Crew and Ralph Lauren were just a few designers whose creations graced the NYFW runway with a variety of colors and patterns. Out of all the trends seen, unique patterns and bright, catchy colors were the most popular (and a fan favorite) amongst many designer collections.
This week’s Fashionista looks as if she just stepped off the runway. Her bright pink floral cropped tank and black and white polka-dot ankle pants are a great example of how to incorporate the bright, floral, NYFW trends into your everyday wardrobe. She accessorizes with a nude pair of Steven by Steve Madden wedges, a gray Marc by Marc Jacobs cross body bag and a Michael Kors watch (along with assorted arm candy). Her choice of accessories are simple yet still fashion-forward, and don’t take away from her overall look.
My favorite part about this outfit is how well everything goes together. This Fashionista’s hot pink, floral cropped tank adds a pop of color to her black and white polka-dot pants. Her nude wedges and accessories give her outfit a modern look, without taking away from the patterns on her top and pants. If this outfit were to be on the runway, it would definitely be a fan-favorite for many.
Looking to re-create this Fashionista’s outfit and make it your own? Try a bold, printed pant, like these Printed Ultra Skinny Pants from Gap. The black and white coloring allows you to mix and match various colors with it, and the print gives off a contemporary vibe – they’re almost like a blank canvas for you to add whatever pieces you want to them! Pair them with a bright purple or blue top and some black strappy sandals, and you my dear, will look like a true NYFW Fashionista.
