STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Frigid Winds

Style Advice of the Week

When the air becomes frigid and getting out of bed and getting dressed for class means preparing to walk in a frozen tundra, it is often difficult to plan an outfit that provides warmth as well as a unique sense of style. For guys this issue may even be a bit more difficult than for girls.

At Saint Vincent College the cold air and gusty winds become quite a problem at the end of the fall semester. It is a challenge to escape this problem, so putting on a warm coat is the answer. While most bundle up in sweats and a sweat shirt, it is the most fashion forward students that dig out their most stylish jacket, wool scarves and cozy shoes to make the journey across campus to class.

This Fashionisto is indeed one of those students who was able to find warmth and style all in one jacket. For guys, there is nothing better that gets this job done than a peacoat.  His peacoat was a classic black by Calvin Klein. Underneath this coat he wore a gray long sleeve long-john for extra warmth. His black and gray designer frames were a great piece to complement his coat and shirt. He finished off this winter look with a pair of jeans from American Eagle Outfitters and UGG slippers that made him feel like he never left his room.

Such a versatile outfit is a great look for the cold wintery months. However, do not let the weather keep you from showing your stuff. Don’t resort to an ugly overcoat to go to class. A pair of jeans, the right shoes and a fashionable coat is an ideal look to keep you warm and stylish.
