As Indiana University is battling the low temperatures of a typical January here in Bloomington, the blues of the winter months sometimes shows in what we wear. On one of the coldest days we have experienced yet I decided to go out looking for my next Fashionista/o. I was getting discouraged walking around campus looking for something to really catch my eye, so I went inside to grab a cup of coffee in the union building. That is when I spotted this lovely lady.
Floral patterns are typically put away during the winter months until the arrival of spring and warmer weather. This Fashionista made no excuses for the chilling and gloomy day when rocking this floral dress with a pair of black leggings and lace up metallic boots.
What I love about this choice of ensemble is how simple and put together it is. She is not afraid to rock a bold pattern while still keeping in mind the time of the year. She does this well by keeping her look dark but just that pop of flower power makes her stand out amongst a crowd. I love how she adds a little edge to her outfit with the metallic boots. She gives off the good girl with a little rebellion persona. A look to certainly keep those around her guessing and intrigued.
You can find floral print in all forms almost anywhere right now. A good place to find not only floral but many patterned garments that are easy on your wallet is Forever 21 or H&M. I especially favored this floral peplum dress from Forever 21. If you love the boots this Fashionista rocked then I suggest trying out some Dr. Marten’s. These particular boots come in all colors and patterns that will surely satisfy.
