STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Flannel Fun

This is the time of year when we begin to think more about finals and less on looking cute. We are up all night studying, writing papers and making note cards, and before we know it we’ve hit snooze nine times and have absolutely no time to get ready. Looking cute slowly starts to become a thing of the summer and spring, our confidence and self esteem drops, and the late fall/winter blues start to hit us. Fortunately, we have tips and tricks on how to look extremely put together with little to no effort.

Flannels are a gift from above. You can dress them up, dress them down, wear them to stay warm or wear them as an accessory. This Fashionista is showing the latest flannel trend: wearing it tied around your waist. This can bring an outfit together with one article of clothing. She chose a flannel with neutral colors to bring out her pop of color in her T-shirt and the red in her Chuck Taylors.

Flannels are also arguably the easiest piece of clothing to find as well, so you don’t have to go searching for it. Personally, my favorite flannels can be found at any thrift shop or Target, but you can also find them practically anywhere else that sells clothes. Another great thing about flannels is that they work for literally anybody of any age. You can wear these works of art anytime of the year—to school, to a fun event, to a party or anything in between. Like I said, they are the greatest inventions ever.
