STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fit For Days

Found on his stroll back from summer classes, this stylish student clearly knew what he was doing when it came to looking cool for school. This sports-inspired ensemble samples a variety of pieces that are styled in a fitted and put together fashion.

The piece that caught my eye right away was the Fashionisto’s crisp navy and white varsity bomber jacket. The sporty essence with the white stripes on the top and bottom, tied in with the sleek sheen of the navy nylon, makes this jacket fit for multiple seasons and style types. Since both preppy and sporty styles are blended into this jacket, a wide range of males can fashion it into their wardrobe, making it a perfect piece to highlight.

The Fashionisto kept it simple yet polished with the rest of his outfit by wearing a basic white Henley and tapered light wash jeans. White Nike for J.Crew sneakers complete with navy leather swooshes continues the sporty theme. This Fashionisto didn’t seem to leave a single part of his look unnoticed with even the seemingly ordinary things, like a person’s keys, styled to perfection by a leather key clip attached at the belt loop.

Two summer class essentials finish off the look. Sunglasses are a necessity for bright and shiny days around campus, and these Ray-Bans with tortoise shell detailing are ever so classic yet trendy. Minnesota Nice also got it’s representation with this student’s Duluth Pack backpack, perfect for filling up with school essentials while still showing off Minnesota pride. With all this admiration over each piece of the ensemble, what was most important to our Fashionisto was that all these pieces fit together, fit his style and, most importantly, fit him.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “For me, it’s all about the fit. If you outfit doesn’t fit, you’re going to look like…oh wait I can’t say that, can I? Well, let’s just say you won’t look good.”
