STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Finals Week Fashion

Style Advice of the Week

For those of you Fashionistas and Fashionistos studying this semester’s material before taking your finals, close your books and listen up! You don’t have to follow the stereotypical “bummy” look college students tend to dress as finals week approaches. It is possible to spend all day studying while still looking fabulous. Fold your sweatpants and baggy T-shirt and tuck them deep into your drawers because this week is all about staying sharp and clean while you’re finishing this semester of college.

This Fashionista keeps it bright and colorful before finals kick in. Her look is very easy to imitate and add to. This Fashionista borrowed her brother’s sweatshirt from H&M and dressed it up with a bright pink scarf from JCPenney. Her black leggings from Old Navy are a great substitute for sweatpants. Leggings are a comfortable alternative and can be dressed up or kept casual. This Fashionista is also wearing a pair of two-toned boots from Piperlime. Check out how the boots she is wearing add more color to her entire outfit.

Isn’t it a drag when you have to carry around all those books? Having a cute purse to carry your books around will give you reason enough to take a walk to the library. This Fashionista embraces carrying her books with a shoulder bag from Nordstrom, which also adds some extra color to her outfit.

If you really can’t let go of the baggy sweatshirt, it’s understandable. Wear a sweatshirt if you’d like, but try to pair it with a cute pair of printed leggings or a maxi skirt. If you’d like to switch up the shoes, sneaker wedges are also a comfortable alternative shoe. Try these sneaker wedges from Nike. It is anything but impossible to dress comfortable and fashionable for finals week. Who knew studying for finals could be so fashionable?
