STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Festival-Ready

Style Advice of the Week

Even though some of us were not lucky enough to score tickets to Coachella (I’m still trying to recover from the tragic loss), it does not mean we still can’t go to school, dressed like we’re about to go to our favorite music festival. For example, this Fashionista, who is rocking her Aztec top and cutoff denim shorts, is looking like she is about to hit the road to Austin, Texas to go to SXSW.

If you’ve ever been to a music festival, you know are bound to get hot and sweaty. However, one way to beat the heat (while still looking chic of course) is to rock some comfortable shoes. Now, wearing flip flops or sneakers might not be the best idea, but some comfortable sandals like the pair this Fashionista is wearing is a great asset to any outfit. Not only that, if you have some killer piercings like this Fashionista, don’t be afraid to show them off. Be bold and have fun with your outfit. You’re not going to your nine to five professional job, you’re going to a festival!

When going to a festival, flower headbands are not a requirement. Since most festivals are during some of the hottest times of the years, find an outfit where you will have some room to breath (or an outfit that has potential to catch some of the breeze). You do not have to be dressed like a bohemian goddess to hear some of your favorite music. The trick is to enjoy yourself and be comfortable (but of course still look stylish).
