In honor of summer music festivals starting this season, this week’s STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK incorporates popular festival items into your everyday outfit. Music festivals like Coachella, which ended last weekend, and Outside Lands are popular for their array of festival outfits and accessories. This Fashionista brought festival chic to downtown San Francisco with her hippie-inspired outfit.
This Fashionista ditched her jacket and wore a simple black lace camisole from LF embellished with feather fringe. Her dark green Urban Outfitters harem styled pants give some color to her otherwise black ensemble. If you’re looking to wear a light top with these type of pants, here is a similar black tank top
to what this Fashionista is wearing. For a white top, try this
Alexis Florencia lace blouse from Revolve. Her flats from Nine West, also studded, are the perfect walking shoes if you’re exploring the city or on-the-go.
This Fashionista’s accessories add a summery feel to her outfit. Her black studded leather bag from LF is edgy and contrasts her sweet camisole. My favorite part of this Fashionista’s outfit was not only the pieces of jewelry she chose, but how she wore her necklaces. A great way to accessorize is by wearing one short and one long necklace. Her crescent moon choker necklace was found at vintage shop in NYC and is interesting because it wraps around her neck twice. She wears her choker necklace with a long, crystal necklace
from Gypsy Warrior.
Last but not least, this Fashionista tops her outfit off with a black hat from Forever 21. Originally, her hat was in the men’s section, but she made this hat feminine by pairing it with her outfit.
If you’re not going to a summer music festival this season, you shouldn’t feel left out. Wearing a festival inspired outfit should cure your music blues and make you feel like you’re dancing in the crowd with the rest of the music lovers out there.
