All over campus, students have begun readjusting to busy schedules that have them running between classes, the library, their dorms and their favorite coffee shop. Being warm and comfortable is a top priority for many, especially in this cold climate; however, looking chic is quite important for many of the students I spotted on campus this week. They achieved this by wearing the most comfortable items from their closets and pairing them with lustworthy pieces.
Consider this Fashionista, who is wearing a plaid shirt, black skinny pants with a tan belt, wedge ankle boots, a leather purse and a statement necklace. Nothing says classic comfort like a plaid shirt but she keeps the look polished by tucking the shirt into her fitted pants. In order to make her legs look elongated, she’s wearing pants and ankle boots of the same color. Additionally, her leather purse and statement necklace are classy touches that could easily take this look from day to night. By adding a black blazer, she’d look great alongside friends at a popular downtown restaurant.
While it can be hard to break away from wearing the warmest and most comfortable items from our closet, especially when we set out for early morning classes or a late night study session, this Fashionista proves that you can do so and still look chic and put together. You never know when an internship opportunity, invite to a networking night or even a chance meeting with this Style Guru could happen!
