STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Feeling The Frost

Style Advice of the Week

During our long-awaited winter break, leaving the house can be a difficult task; the icy air isn’t quite as welcoming as the heat from the fireplace, and the blankets of frost on the grass can make us want to throw on our favorite slippers and curl up on the couch for all eternity. While the majority of winter break should consist of catching up on sleep, enjoying movies and revisiting some of our most treasured family traditions, occasionally it actually becomes necessary to venture outside of your safe, wonderful home. When you feel the fresh, cool air as you shut the front door behind you, fearlessly embrace the chill and wear a touch of winter sparkle.

This Fashionista has no fear when it comes to fighting the cold air. She wore a festive red dress with paisley print underneath an oversized chambray shirt. This lucky style-savvy student claims that her legs stay warm under even the chilliest of conditions, so she skipped the tights. She paired this outfit with some black Jeffery Campbell combat boots, with which she can trek through crunching leaves and ice.

Instead of fearing the incoming of cold weather, this Fashionista chose to embrace the icicles around her by incorporating hints of sparkle. She wears a fluffy, shimmering scarf that resembles the twinkle of snowflakes, matching the sparkling silver strings sewn into her dress.

This Fashionista doesn’t feel the need to wear too many layers, she stays warm with her long locks and positive attitude. As a New Jersey native, she is not afraid of a little frost. She is refreshed by the cold conditions and is even ready for a little bit of snow!
