STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Far Out Flares

I can think back to a time of orange shag carpet, disco fever, peace signs and the YMCA . During the ’70s, the Beatles broke up, Woodstock was raging, Disney World opened, the VCR was introduced and bell-bottoms made their debut. These trendy wide-flare jeans are making their comeback and are only taking the fashion world by storm.

In my opinion, bell-bottoms are one of the best trends that came out of that era. There are so many different ways that you can style this iconic item. The fit and flare of bell-bottoms add a unique sense of confidence in an ensemble. The flare of the pant is such a huge statement. It is almost like having your pants be the accessory to your outfit!

If you have a pair of bell-bottoms just folded up in your closet but not sure how to pull them off, just take a look at this Fashionista’s take on the jean that has everyone talking! This Fashionista paired her bell-bottoms with a long sleeve maroon lace top with a chunky bohemian necklace with some slip-on clog heels! She threw her hair in a loose side braid and topped it off with a wide-brimmed hat for an element of boho-chic!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My main tip when styling a pair of these pants is to keep the top a little more form fitting and to add some type of heel. By doing this you can really show off the fun flare that this throwback style has to offer!”
