STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Falling Back Into Fall

November 3rd, 2016 at 2:10am

As we can all tell by the widespread obsession with all things pumpkin spice, fall is here once again! Here in Florida, it isn’t cold yet, but you can now go outside for more than five minutes without melting (that’s a first since March). For girls like me, this is the best time of the year! We finally get to retire our running shorts and sneakers and trade them in for cute boots and chunky sweaters. This Fashionista mastered a day to night look that will be comfortable in both the higher and lower temperatures that this season has to offer.

Her gray over-the-knee suede boots are extremely versatile; they can be worn with anything from jeans to leggings. This Fashionista chose to pair them with a long bell-sleeved dress that exposes a small amount of skin for a flirty look. Although these boots steal the show, the dress complements the look as well as her figure. The lace choker goes well with the lace detailing on the sleeves of the dress.

One of the hardest parts of getting ready in the morning is finding an outfit that will work with the weather. The light fabric of this dress works when in the sun, while the long sleeves give more warmth at night. A closet should be filled with versatile pieces that work well together when paired, and this Fashionista has shown us a prime example of that. Her outfit is perfect for an entire day, from meeting the girls at brunch in the morning to going out for drinks at night.
