STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall into the '70s

September 10th, 2015 at 2:00am

As we all know the seventies are back and were a huge trend for the spring/summer 2015 season. Lucky for us Fashionista/o’s they are here to stick around for the fall so don’t put your polaroid’s or lava lamps away quite yet. The seventies are an extremely fun trend to wear: bell-bottoms, fringe, and big sunglasses are just a few ways to portray this era through everyday fashion.

When I think of the seventies a vivid image of my dad from the ‘70s comes to mind, mustache, big hair, and flares for days. As well as the classic That ‘70s Show reminds of the era. This Fashionista is totally rocking her printed bell-bottoms, fringe purse, and adorable faux fur vest. By her bringing a fur vest into the outfit she showed so nicely how this trend can be easily transitioned into our upcoming fall season.

This fashionista portrayed the ’70s trend perfectly. She knew how to rock her seventies outfit and had the confidence to make it look completely flawless. Pairing a longer flowy top with tight bell-bottoms was such a great move by this Fashionista. She layered long necklaces with her top that added the perfect touch. To top it all off she threw on a pair of groovy sunglasses and the outfit was set.

While this Fashionista went all out ’70s, you could bring the ’70s into your wardrobe in a more subtle way as well. If you don’t feel comfortable enough yet with the whole ensemble try adding just a fringe purse to your outfit and see how you like it!
