STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall in Love with Forrest Green

Who doesn’t love holding a warm pumpkin spice latte while crisp air blows through your hair and leaves crunch under your feet? Typically, fall is the time when boots are unpacked from storage and people wear bold, sporting mustard yellows, sangria reds and earthy browns. This Fashionista makes a statement walking down the street without adhering to any of the typical fall fashion protocols.

This Fashionista sports a look that shows she’s trendy, but also casual and comfortable. She’s also more subdued and enjoys neutrals, but can shine with a splash of color. The main focus of her look is the forrest green fringe jacket. She’s strayed away from all of the stereotypical fall colors, but this color still screams fall. The suede allows for raw edges which give the jacket a crisper look when combined with the angular lines and sleeves cropped to the same length as the jacket itself. These cropped sleeves allow any Fashionista the perfect opportunity to jazz up her hands with jewelry. For instance, this Fashionista accessorized with a watch and plenty of rings.

Her jacket holds your attention so much you might not even realize at first that without it, she is just wearing a white V-neck and dark wash jeans. She cuffs her jeans as not only to complement the crop of her jacket sleeves, but also to flaunt her white sneakers with Kelly green heels. She finishes off her look with a simple shaped gray bag, a choker and some oversized sunglasses—not for keeping the sun out of her eyes, but for avoiding looks from every other girl jealous of her style. This Fashionista shows us what it means to be cool as the weather starts to get cooler.
