STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall In Love With Boho

If you think the ’70s bohemian-inspired clothes are gonna be left behind in the spring and summer season, think again. Seventies fashion is also making its transition into fall with the re-introduction of retro patterns in more earthy tones, outfits with loose silhouettes and suede.

I really love how this Fashionista channelled her inner boho babe with a paisley-patterned dress and a pair of chunky platforms. Paisley print, as seen in Etro’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection made quite the statement down the runway as it appeared in warm autumn hues and patchwork details. This print adds a nice detail to this Fashionistas dress as it’s complemented by the deep shades of blue and maroon, giving off welcoming fall vibes.

When it comes to ’70s footwear, it often consists of leather clogs, wooden platforms or just plain chunky high heels like what this Fashionista is wearing. The burnt orange color of her shoes not only has that vintage look but it’s also a great color to rock this season! They’re perfect to wear with flowy dresses like this or with a pair of flared jeans if you really want to go for a full ’70s effect.

Although there have been so many variations of ’70s styles this past spring and summer (with off-the-shoulder styles and fringe to name a few), the trend is only beginning because now we get to see this style translated to fit the cooler fall weather.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “The 70’s is a wonderful time period to get style inspiration from so don’t be afraid to take some vintage pieces and mix it up this season. For example, suede skirts and platforms are really in right now so maybe mix and match those items with a few things from your closet for your next look!”
