STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall Fashion

October 31st, 2016 at 2:00am

It is officially fall as the foliage begins to cover all of our campuses here in New England. During fall, we are all eager to throw on our tall leather boots, thick scarves and chunky sweaters. Thankfully the skirt trend from summer carries into fall!

You can never go wrong with denim whether it be in the form of a jacket, skirt, dress or in an ordinary pair of jeans. This Fashionista is rocking a button-up denim skirt that is trendy, casual and dressy. This Fashionista kept it casual, comfy and cute snagging this skirt from her mother’s closet which really adds to the ’90s vintage vibe. A denim skirt is perfect for any fall festivity or class. With such a statement piece such as the skirt, she kept it simple when it came to the shirt with a graphic T-shirt. The graphic T-shirt is cute and adds some fun to the fall inspired outfit.

This Fashionista perfected layering because in New England, it can be a crisp cold morning on your way to class and 70 degrees by the time you get out. Her long cardigan is a very popular color this fall: a subtle light burgundy. This color is flooding the stores and malls. This Fashionista also paired sunglasses to her outfit. Her choice of round rimmed sunglasses adds to the vintage look of the skirt. These sunglasses are a perfect accessory for this outfit, while also covering your eyes from the sun on the way to class. One of my favorite statements during the fall season is booties. This Fashionista paired a tan heeled bootie with a cutout at the ankle.

This outfit is perfect for the transition from summer to fall. This skirt and cardigan combination is excellent for fall activities like apple picking with your friends or for going to class.
