STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Extra Pop Of Color

May 4th, 2016 at 2:00am

Don’t get me wrong; I love a nice tie or bow tie, but the pull over sweater with the crisp button-down underneath is a look I really love. It gives you a more relaxed feel all while being dressy at the same time. I think it is so important to keep comfort in mind when you get dressed in the morning. While sometimes it is hard to wear what we want while remaining comfortable, it is always an important factor.

This Fashionisto knew exactly what he was doing when he got dressed this morning. I love the gray pull over with the purple pop of color. The whole color scheme looks so effortless but so well put together. The purple and blue pinstripe color instantly made me think of spring. When going for this type of look, it is always important to have a plain colored sweater and then allow the shirt underneath to be printed or colored, just so that collar adds a nice pop of color to your look.

For a nice sunny day, it is always nice to grab your best pair of sunglasses and throw them on. I admire these black aviators, they’re one of a kind. When dealing with dressier looks that have some color in them, I think it is always important to keep neutral tone accessories like white, black or gray. Lastly, the loafers finish off the look. Guys, you just simply can’t go wrong with loafers. They go with everything, they’re comfortable, and nowadays you can find some really unique pairs. I like how this Fashionisto stuck with more neutral colors due to his fun colorful collar.

If you wanted to change this look up a bit, instead of adding the neutral sweater on top, you could always ditch that and throw on a bow tie. Bow ties are super trendy right now and they can really make you stand out.
