It is old news that graphic T-shirts are in style. This past summer, I was frequently seen in my denim cut-offs, a graphic T-shirt and Converse sneakers. I love this look, but it is only for a hot summer day. When the cold weather arrived, I knew I couldn’t force myself to put my tees in the back of my closet for the winter months. I had to find new ways to where them. Normally, I am that girl who has a closet bulging with clothes found complaining that I have nothing to wear. Graphic T-shirts have saved me! I am obsessed with them because of their versatility. As a college student, I am sure you constantly hear from your mother or any wise Fashionista that you need to invest in key, staple pieces to build your wardrobe around such as a blazer, black pants, a little black dress, dark denim etc. These items are needed in your wardrobe, but graphic T-shirts must be added to that list.
This winter, my favorite casual way to wear a graphic T-shirt is with denim cut-offs, opaque black tights, Dr. Martens and a winter coat. You can add over the knee socks for added warmth. For an effortless outfit to wear to class, throw on an oversized cardigan over any graphic with print leggings.
If you need to go to an internship or have a speech, follow this week’s Fashionista. A blazer, chunky necklace and skirt dresses your shirt up for a professional, office appropriate look. If it is too chilly for a skirt above the knee, try a calf-length skirt. I am in love with this length for the cold months with booties and socks.
Graphic T-shirts can be worn an endless amount of ways, you just have to be creative! There should be no more complaining that you have nothing to wear. They can be found at every price point to fit your budget and you probably already have a ton of old T-shirts that can be made stylish.
P.S. Graphic T-shirts allow you to show your favorite band, sports team or city to the world, so express yourself and make a statement!
