STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Easy, Breezy, and Bold

July 8th, 2015 at 2:00am

Looking to stay cool and stylish this summer? Well, this week’s Fashionista pulls this off by focusing on three things: being easy, breezy and bold.

The ensemble starts off with a basic black tank top that is both flowy and breathable, making it a perfect summer staple. A dainty silver Hamsa necklace adds a bit of detail to the upper half of the outfit, while classic aviator style sunglasses shade her eyes from the harsh summer sun. A large black tote with camel colored detailing completes the top half of the outfit while sticking to the neutral color scheme.

Next we reach the focus of the outfit: the tribal print shorts. These neutral yet bold shorts have been a summer trend for a few seasons now, and for good reason. Not only does the tribal print add more flare than normal colored shorts or jean shorts, but the breathable fabric and elastic waistband is perfect for hot summer days. People often think that black and brown aren’t meant to go together, but with the right blend of browns and other neutrals, as well as a sharp black for contrast, this former fashion faux pas can be tossed aside.

Another fashion faux pas turned into a recent trend are this Fashionista’s shoes, the love to be hated Birkenstocks. Orange nail polish adds a pop of brightness to this neutral outfit, as well as sticks to the tribal theme. Simple layered bracelets and a monogrammed silver ring complete the look with ease.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My advice would be to never let anyone see you sweat. For me, that means keeping my style easy and breezy throughout the summer.”
