STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Easy Breezy

Here I am in sunny Los Angeles and it seems like the reincarnation of the ‘70s flower children. While that isn’t exactly breaking news, one element of the breezy hippie style is sure to be on everyone’s radar this summer: printed flowy pants. During that free-spirited decade, fashion was all about groovy prints and new fabrics. So why are these pants so popular today?

This Fashionista kills it in her Cotton Candy pants, paired with a simple white top from Urban Outfitters. These pants make the whole outfit look effortless yet chic. Meanwhile she doesn’t break a sweat in the warm California air because no heavy fabrics cling to her body. These pants are everything right now for just that reason. They’re on trend because the print and style will make any Fashionista stand out in a crowd whether she’s relaxing by the water or having a much-needed brunch with her friends.

My advice would be to let the pants speak for themselves. With funky loud prints, the rest of the outfit can remain understated and plain in comparison. Go for a plain white tank or, if you want to get fancy, a solid V-neck T-shirt knotted to show a little bit of skin. For a night out on the town pair your pants with a simple crop top. Even though it seems like the most effortless outfit out there, I promise you no one will be able to stop their outfit envy.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Flowy pants are my best friend when it’s 80 degrees outside and I don’t feel like wearing a dress.”
