STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Denim is Dead

Guys are sometimes known for wearing the usual bland denim jean. However, this Fashionisto proves that a colored pant on guys can be very fashion forward.

Typically when I think of olive green clothing, I automatically associate it with fall. This look however, has me thinking differently. Olive green pants are a great way to add a little touch of color to dull winter ensembles, especially for guys. Although, dull neutrals have been huge for the last few seasons, taking front and center in Maison Margiela and Bouchra Jarrar latest spring fashion shows. Neutrals can look washed out causing outfits to appear boring and can hinder your chances of making a statement. Seriously who doesn’t want to make a fashionable statement?

So how does this style work for this Fashionisto? He pairs this fall color beautifully with an all black, pocketed nylon jacket and banana yellow graphic tee. He adds “umph” to his ensemble with his grungy clog boots and accessorizes with a Curren leather, black band watch. Everything just flows for his ensemble. The neat thing about his olive pant is they can be worn seasonally. Come summer these olive pants would look great rolled to the ankle with a graphic tank, or for fall with a cardigan. In my opinion they are quite worth investing in. This is great way for some guys to switch up their style a bit. Ditching the denim Levis for a more fashionable yet, masculine look.
