STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Denim Days

Standing out on campus is a task but can for sure be accomplished. The bigger issue in the early stages of fall is finding an outfit that will be fine during the colder temperatures in the morning, and warmer in the afternoon.

Pairing a tennis skirt, denim jacket and athletic shoes will scream cool girl on campus. It will also be perfect for the transitioning weather. Now that we are headed more towards fall, it is a bit colder in the morning than in the afternoon. So having the denim jacket will be perfect for that 8:00 a.m. class.

Alternatively, the denim jacket can also serve as an accessory to any outfit if you tie it around your neck like a scarf, or even on your waist. Later in the day when it is warmer you could easily try one of these tricks so you are not sweltering in the heat.

Since you will later tie the jacket around your shoulders as a scarf essentially, there’s no need for heavy jewelry. That’s a plus because you can get dressed quicker and be out the door!

Tennis shoes are my favorite thing to wear lately. They add the perfect touch of cool to any outfit and lately I prefer them to any other type of shoe. Tennis shoes are so perfect on days where you have class all day, and they’re so comfy!
