STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Denim Days

As the weather starts to get warmer and the sun starts to shine brighter, I always have the urge to start dressing a little nicer. After all, if the day is going to be beautiful, I might as well wear something to match. There’s only one problem: nice weather doesn’t necessarily make it easier to get out of bed. Even with the sun shining through my windows and the birds chirping cheerfully, that morning class across campus isn’t any more inviting than it was before. So how do we maintain our lazy attitudes and dress to impress at the same time?

This Fashionista just might have the solution. Her denim romper ensemble is the perfect spring outfit, and the best part is that it requires zero effort. She looks trendy, put together and ready for the day, yet she very easily could’ve rolled out of bed 15 minutes earlier. Lightweight denim is a huge trend this spring, and not just as your typical pair of jeans. We’ve seen denim dresses, crop tops, jackets and rompers, like the one this Fashionista chose for her long day of classes. In my opinion, one of the best things about this trend is that denim is so easy to accessorize. Some simple jewelry, a cute bag and your trusty pair booties are all you need to transform a single piece of clothing into an entire, cohesive outfit.

I know it may be tempting to throw on your gym clothes or maybe even stay in that T-shirt you slept in, but I promise you, you’ll never regret putting on a killer outfit. When you look good, you feel good, and who doesn’t want to feel on top of the world on a beautiful sunny day?

What’s your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Rompers are my absolute favorite because I don’t have to think about it at all. I can just throw it on, and it looks like I spent way more time getting ready than I actually did, which is super important when I have microeconomics early in the morning!”
