Standing out in a sea of orange otto fans may in fact be just as easy as attempting to bring back the gaucho pant. My fix? Spice up your spirit wear with a splash of a spicier orange — coral! Not only is coral an insta tan to the de-bronzed skin we’ve all attained the past few months, it’s the perfect alternative to any red feature! Change it out for a chic summery lip or play up olive skin tone with a single swipe to the cheek bone.
This Fashionista was full of smiles sporting her flashback to warmer days ensemble. She was rocking her ‘Cuse pride in chunky knit form from Kaitlyn (an adorable southern California shopping must see) thrown on with her favorite pair of black leggings from H&M and completed with vintage slick black riding boots. She glams up the casualness of the chunky knit with some modern accessories — a bangle mix from Nordstrom Brass plum as well an amazing stunner by the watch man himself, Michael Kors! It’s proof that you can now stud any outfit, any time.
I first spotted this Pantone shade in shift dress form, brightening up the runway show of Marc by Marc Jacobs. The highly saturated orange is not quite a neon, but definitely eye-catching to say the least! Also seen on the Vivienne Tam runway, a head to toe look showed us how to bring this bold look appropriate for the nine to five.
Now where are my fearless Fashionistas? Try this look layered with citron yellow! Layer it with a neutral or textured beige necklace and some understated shoes for the ultimate chic Anthropology look. Not quite ready to command the entire room? Baby step your way to the big leagues piece by piece. My ultimate favorite splurge is a coral pair of Tory Burch flats. Whenever I’m feeling the winter blues, they are an instant pop to any outfit and flashback to warm summer afternoons. Whatever the season, never feel obligated to the norm. Find ways to fight the expected year round, my Fashionista friends!
