STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Concerning Color

Colored jeans have been on-trend for quite some time, but we often limit the time of year we think they are appropriate to be worn in. You usually see them in stock in stores during the spring in bright pastel colors. Colored denim should not have to be limited to one particular season.

There is a wide range of ways you can wear colored jeans in the winter months. Sometimes people are shy when it comes to wearing bright colors during these dreary days. An easy medium would be to opt for darker toned pants. That way, you don’t have to be worried about standing out too much against the white landscape, but you still are able to make a unique statement. There are also so many darker colors that you can chose from when it comes to denim. You can find colorful pants in an army green, mustard yellow, or a marvelous maroon color like this Fashionista did.

So many denim designs and fits are also available in subdued hues. This Fashionista rocked a pair of high-waisted jeans, but there are many more styles to pick from. There are ripped, distressed and the classic skinny. If you are unsure about what to pair with the new color in your wardrobe, go with pieces that are solid in color. That way, you don’t have to worry about clashing with patterns. From the studded collar on her flowing top to the simple ring on her finger, the delicate touches in this outfit  bring a sense of completeness while allowing the jeans to still be the statement in this outfit.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Early mornings tend to make getting dressed up too much work. To dress up an outfit, just throw on a pair of skinny jeans and booties to make it look like you put thought into what you were going to wear!”
