STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Comfy With A Chance of Stripes

I’d say this is the best time of year to find amazing fashion. The colors and styles are really a great combination and I love getting inspiration from what I see around campus! This fall weather can be tricky to plan an outfit for especially in the Mid-Atlantic, but there are a lot ways to dress for fall if the weather hasn’t gotten much colder yet.

This Fashionista has got the right idea about fall fashion with this outfit! Her olive green bomber jacket is casual but seriously trendy! It’s really perfect for the weird in-between seasons weather. It’s light enough to keep her from getting too hot but covers enough to keep her warm if the temperature drops throughout the day. Her striped long sleeve shirt is a fall essential and there is no arguing that. Her black jeans are simple, but the rips in her knees give the outfit a little more edge. Her shoes are absolutely killer and her choker is a simple but a standout accessory for this outfit. It is never a bad idea to take some simple items and dress them up a little with all the right accents!

Like I mentioned before, at this point in the year, it is time to move into a fall wardrobe and away from those bright summer colors. This can be hard to do when one day it’s 80 degrees and the next day its 55 degrees, but the transition can be easy if you style it the right way! Being in an area where the weather is so different day to day can be a challenge but hey, what Fashionista doesn’t love a good risk-taking outfit?

My style advice of the week is to dress for the weather you’re in! Don’t wear a fall jacket if you are going to die from heat stroke because it is still so warm out. Look for items in fall colors that work for you and you will be comfortable in! It is possible to be comfortable and stylish, see what works for you and run with it!
