STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Comfy, Casual and Chic

Is anyone else as excited for this November as I am? There is so much to look forward to like Thanksgiving and the holidays, the elections, and dressing in cold weather fashion.  On this particular early November day this Fashionista was headed to the ‘Soda City Market.’ The market is located on Main Street in Columbia, South Carolina and is open every Saturday morning, no matter what the weather. It is a great location to get snacks, buy gifts, hear live music, spend time with family and friends and of course observe the latest downtown fashion trends. The energetic Main Street is shut down for the locals to socialize and walk from tent to tent to see what the vendors are selling. While unfortunately, it was a rainy, cold November day, the market is always open and thriving rain or shine.

This Fashionista was wearing a white comfy sweater, dark wash jeans, L.L. Bean boots, along with accessories including a tattoo choker and hoop earrings. The white loosely knit sweater is from Forever21, which is one of my personal favorite stores. Many people shy away from Forever21 because the stores are so large and there are so many racks but that is one reason I love it. You can find awesome pieces of clothing every time you shop – I find myself having a hard time leaving empty handed. The L.L. Bean boots were perfect for the rainy, chilly day. It is all about having a sense of style while still feeling comfortable. This casual outfit was jazzed up with the cool accessories. It is awesome to see many things re-entering the fashion realm like tattoo chokers. These necklaces were very “in” in the 1990s and now they are taking over the accessories scene once again. This Fashionista completed her look with some large hoop earrings, lightly curled hair and simple natural makeup. This is a great everyday look, especially to go downtown and peruse the lively market. Here’s to discovering your inner chic!
