Spring time doesn’t always mean sunshine and buttercups. Spring can bring unexpected swells of cool weather, sometimes spring showers and those occasionally gloomy days that persuade you into going to the library rather than on a picnic. We can’t all be runway ready everyday so if you’re like this Fashionista you know it’s ok to be comfortable, casual and cute all at the same time.
I found this Fashionista’s look adorable because it consisted of classic, comfortable staples that every girl has in their closet. Who doesn’t own a great pair of black yoga pants? Many think a yoga pants day means a day to tap out on fashion, but it doesn’t have to be! Sometimes being cozy and sporty can be just as cute, especially on days where you have a big test or a lot of studying to do. If you don’t own a pair already, it is no secret that Victoria’s Secret has the best selection of boot cut yoga pants.
To continue with the relaxed trend she decided to rock a favorite flannel. You can find a bright flannel like this nearly anywhere, but Urban Outfitters has some of my absolute favorite classic flannels in easy to match colors. This blue flannel matches her comfortable vibe perfectly and adds a little flavor to her look. Flannels are always a great fashionable alternative to a T-shirt or sweatshirt. For an added plus her bohemian inspired stacked bracelets even match the color scheme.
Another thing I found great about her outfit were the pops of color in the details. She went with a classic touch of red in her shoes and her scarf. The brightness of the scarf drew the red lines out of the flannel and even matched her adorable bright red loafers. Finding a pair of loafers like this in a vibrant color is an automatic style bonus as plain or neutral loafers tend to be categorized as boring or preppy.
So when you’re heading to the library this week don’t be ashamed to wear those favorite yoga pants. Bump up your comfortable pieces and make them cute with some pops of color and a fun flannel like this Fashionista. I promise you’ll be rocking the causal look with confidence like never before!
