STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Comfort is Key

One thing I have noticed about New England is that the weather is a totally touchy subject. From “snowmagedan” to wicked hot summers, it can be difficult to dress for success when the weather drastically changes. Undoubtedly September triggers excitement for fall as we obsess over pumpkin spiced everything, flannels and booties, but there are still those occasional stubborn summer days that just aren’t ready to leave. Fortunately, I found this amazingly inspirational Fashionista who seems to have found the perfect balance.

In the outfit above, she perfectly pairs a comfortable black cotton tank dress and a warm red flannel to prepare for the fluctuating summer/fall temperature. The felt hat is perfect for fall, not to mention a great solution for those eight AM classes you dread fixing your hair for. Score! Continuing with a grunge theme that would make Kurt Cobain proud, she laced up some light cognac combat boots with fun matching socks making for walk class. Completing the look in a different direction, this girl sports some beautiful dainty jewelry and a #RAD Great Gatsby tote to create an overall hip, feminine ensemble.

As this Fashionista rocks a unique blend of styles exceptional for the upcoming fall season, I think we can all take a bit of inspiration of making comfort her number one priority while still managing to look flawless.
