Now that spring is approaching, it is time to pull those colorful styles out of the closet. Warm weather brings the freedom of higher hems, thinner jackets and shorter sleeves. This Fashionisto definitely took advantage of the warm week we had here in Philadelphia. I spotted his statement kimono across the campus and had to get a closer look.
Kimonos have been a fashion trend for the last few seasons. Not only are they a quick and convenient way to finish any look, but they also add an element of excitement and expression. When the weather gets warmer, the freedom of bolder prints and energetic colors arise. There are so many prints to choose from ranging from fancy floral to sharp Aztec. Vibrant kimonos paired with classic denim shorts give an extremely boho vibe and also keep the look effortless. The boldness of the kimono gives reason for a plain tank or T-shirt and you can never go wrong with white sneakers. They are timeless and, as an added bonus, exceptionally comfortable.
When the sun is out, shades are a must. Reflective sunglasses are my favorite for a few reasons. One being that they are super chic and colorful; but the most important reason is that they are a convenient substitute for a mirror. Necklaces are a fun way to accessorize every outfit. Organic necklaces, such as this marble chain necklace, add to the boho theme that this look embodies.
