STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Casually Cool

It’s time to face the music: summer break is almost over. I know everyone is trying to relish in those last carefree summer afternoons, myself included. The truth is, however, there’s no getting out of the impending doom that is waking up early and all-nighters. It’s almost time for those mornings you wish you could stay in bed, but know that if you miss you’ll be way behind, so you consider showing up in your pajamas. Fear not, though, because the Fashionisto I’m featuring today had on a look that would make anyone want to jump out of bed and start their day off right: with a stylish, comfortable ensemble.

A band T-shirt, in my opinion, is the way to go when you want to stay comfortable, but also add a bit of edge to your outfit. Since they usually have cool and interesting decals or patterns, it’s a great way to amp up your outfit from just casual to casually cool. This Fashionisto is sporting his favorite artist’s T-shirt, but there are so many options that the possibilities and combinations are endless.

We all know denim is a staple in anyones wardrobe. It’s so easy to dress it up or down;  finding the balance between comfortable and flattering is usually just as easy. This Fashionisto decided to go for a pair that was the perfect amount of loose fitting for any sort of busy day, like running errands or getting from class to class. Rolling them up at the ankles adds a more put together vibe to his outfit and brings more attention to his shoes.

This Fashionisto tops off his outfit with a pair of Nike’s and the essential backpack. These shoes, while obviously stylish, will also serve as great running shoes if this Fashionisto ever accidentally sleeps through his alarm (it happens to the best of us).

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I’m really influenced by the trends that my favorite artists are wearing, so I look to them for inspiration when I’m putting together my outfits. I like to experiment with my style, so seeing what they wear and adding my own personal twist is my favorite thing to do.”
