STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cargo on the Go

It’s chunky, it’s oversized and it’s warm! Cargo jackets are a trend that are not going anywhere. This Fashionista rocks the cargo with a laid back, Brandy Melville vibe, while still keeping warm in this cold Rochester winter. The cargo jacket is an essential piece for several looks: you can be feminine, laid back and grunge. You can also use cargo as a substitute for your summer jean jacket in the winter, as the dark military green color is a great pairing for a lot of warm winter color palettes such as maroon, brown, gray and mustard yellow.

Pairing the classic military green with basic colors, and even pairing it with bold and colorful accessories, is a great way to show individual style and make the look your own. Cargo jackets do great with accessories, and this Fashionista proves it by wearing a nice deep maroon knitted headband with a simple statement watch and a cool magnifying glass vintage necklace. These are all great, fun pieces that add a nice little touch to the outfit. This look is inspirational to all Fashionistas/os because, even despite the cold and the snow, you can still be cute and comfortable with a little help of a warm, furry oversized cargo jacket.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? ”Fuzzy socks are my secret to keeping warm in this crazy snowy weather. I love to pair a fun print with my black hunter boots.”
