STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cardigan The Moment.

Style Advice of the Week

The beginning of a new year always brings so many new goals and possibilities. As I hope that some of you have resolved to take bigger style risks, I also hope some have resolved not to change a thing. But unfortunately, the top of a new year also reminds us that we’re at the peak of wintertime. Yikes, I know! The worst of winter is yet to come. So until we have to pull out the Eskimo attire, keep it cute in a light coat and a nice a cardigan underneath for extra warmth.

Wearing a cardigan solo is definitely the spring thing to do, but there’s no crime in layering. This Fashionista opted for a springtime cardigan to add some, let’s say sunshine, to the frigid weather. Cardigans are the perfect choice for style plus warmth. They’re comfortable, feel great and you can find them in an array of different lengths, colors and patterns. I love how this Fashionista kept a theme throughout her ensemble and opted for spring like jeans to go along with her cardigan. Her nude shoes play an important role as they offset the rest of her bright ensemble giving a good balance.

The great thing about cardigans is their versatility. They can be worn many different ways. For inspiration check out how Courtney from TheStylePlaylist wears her cardigans as well as Jessica from MsVintageVirgin—very different with their personal style yet they both make cardigans look cool. You can find cardigans everywhere, especially during this time of year. If you’re into the Aztec trend try this cardigan from ASOS. For an edgier look try the “Cold Shoulder” cardigan from Urban Outfitters. But if you’d prefer the classic style get this traditional cardigan from Forever 21 or this one.

So you see, there’s still time to squeeze in an outfit here or there without a heavy coat. just don’t forget your cardigan.
