STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Business Or Pleasure

Style Advice of the Week

A person’s college career is the right time to start exploring your career options and get any opportunity that comes your way, because you will never know where it lead to. Internships are the perfect option for a busy college student who wants to gain experience and learn new knowledge. Looking sharp and put together is essential to gaining and maintaining an internship.

A well tailored blazer will be your best friend during your internship because you can easily transform your outfit from a casual school outfit to a professional work ensemble. The Fashionista that I snapped a photo of for today’s post, is the prime example of what a college to internship outfit should look like. The maroon blazer makes her look polished and respectable but it is also important to make your polished outfit look fun and unique. She does not lose any of her spunk thanks to thanks to her accessories like the leopard pointy toe flats and shimmery statement necklace.

If you are looking to invest in an expensive blazer and not several economical blazers, then I suggest going for a solid dark colored blazer. You can wear it in any season and it is a timeless article of clothing that can even be used for many occasions to come. But if you are looking to purchase a few less expensive blazers to have more options, then you can have more fun with the option. For example, there are countless colors, patterns and styles that you can choose from.

I recommend going for the more economical option because if you don’t have much experience with buying professional work attire; it wouldn’t be a good idea to invest in a style that you may not like later on. Not to mention that fact that if you are having a bad day at work, you can always brighten up your day by wearing a cool, crazy patterned blazer.
