STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Business Casual Not in the Workplace

Long gone are the days of tank tops, Bermuda shorts and flip flops. Millennials have evolved into an army of exceedingly successful young adults ready to take on the world. Their source of motivation? Business casual attire. Millennials have adopted “look good to feel good” as their motto and in result, they have revolutionized business casual wear. You don’t have to look inside an office or interview room to see how they have transformed the once dreaded attire. Walking around campus, many students incorporate trendy clothing while staying appropriate and tasteful wherever they go.

Take this Fashionista, for example. She successfully incorporates the business casual attire for a normal day outing around campus. Pairing a beautiful water colored pink and blue chiffon romper with a gray blazer, she gives the business blazer a trendy and casual feel. She then adds a touch of bling with her iridescent, gold pendant that adds to her youthful glow. Her matching black leather slip-on oxfords (because who has time for laces anymore?) and black leather oversized bag screams “Girl Boss.” Tying it all together she wears trendy, semi-rimmed eye glasses and just like the rest of the army of successful millennials, she accessorizes with her cute and colorful iPhone 6s case.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “There is no such a thing as being overdressed. Look good to feel good and ditch the flip flops for a pair of oxfords. Trust me, find the right blazer and you’ll feel like you have the world on your fingertips.”
