STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Bundled Up

It’s that time of year again. Cold, blustery days make us want nothing more than to stay in bed and watch Netflix. But, we have classes to go to, so to survive the dropping temperatures, we need to bundle up and cover as much skin as possible. One of my favorite accessories to wear to keep warm is a scarf. They are both trendy and help keep me warm. And it seems this Fashionista had the same thought.

Scarves have been a winter staple for as long as I can remember and they will probably never really go out of style. They are versatile and come in so many different style, colors and textures that there really is a scarf for every outfit. With scarves, it is all about how you use them to accessorize your look and how you choose to wear them.

This Fashionista chose to wear her loosely around her neck on this particularly nice winter day. On less chilly days this is the best way to wear a scarf because it’ll prevent you from getting too warm, but if the temperature does plummet, you can always wrap your neck up and still look on point. Her scarf of choice was a long, thin brown one instead of the typical knit style. It contrasts nicely with her knit, black sweater creating contrasting textures and colors. She pulls it together with a simple pair of dark jeans that she cuffs at the bottom so they don’t bunch up at the bottom and cause her to look shorter. Since her jeans and sweater are all dark, the light brown of the scarf is really able to stand out without being too garish. She completed the look with a trendy pair of gray booties and she’s able to stay warm and stylish on a chilly winter day.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Scarves are honestly the best way to stay warm and stylish in the winter. They add a bit of flair to any sweater and help keep your neck covered. They are really a go-to for me.”
