STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Bundle Up in Style!

Winter in New York City means the temperature is dropping to its all time lows, fifth avenue and Rockefeller Center are illuminated with Christmas lights and spirit, and unfortunately also means that finals are approaching quicker than we think. My personal favorite season is winter, mainly because of the different fashion looks everyone can try out. The gorgeous shades of burgundy, navy blue, grey and black are more prominent and paired together harmoniously. My humble advice, especially being a resident in the city, is to stay bundled up! This Fashionista is a perfect example of someone who’s comfortable for the weather but also manages to show her style.

Walking on the NYC streets, I’ve seen so many amazing layered looks and gorgeous coats, but I really liked this style because it was simple but still managed to stand out. The black layering coupled with the checkered scarf gives off the perfect edgy but warm winter look that is perfect especially for a windy and chilly morning. My favorite part about the outfit is easily the boots. With an outfit that is completely black and white, the blended blue boots automatically makes the outfit stand out and really complete the look.

The best part about the winter season is that there are so many ways to experiment with outfits while being able to stay warm. The best way to do this is to keep layering with cardigans, sweaters and scarfs, and by finding a color pattern that fits who you are. Happy Holidays and stay warm, Fashionista/os!
