Style Advice of the Week

Spring is in full force, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many people (including myself) sporting pastels! It’s essentially a necessity for spring weather, and is a perfect way to feel feminine and weather appropriate. With everyone finally accepting their pastel wardrobes, I beg the question: Is it too soon to pull out the neons? The answer is no! Now that school is finishing up and summer is beginning pull out your bright clothing and start soaking up the sun. This Fashionista stood out amongst the crowd in her bright outfit.

This Fashionista is wearing a bright pink chiffon shirt and floral shorts. She accessorized her bold outfit with structured tan bag, and a pair of wedges. For the finishing touches, she added a tan belt, and a pair of aviator sunglasses. This look is polished, but still remains fun and girly. Pairing this look with wedges like she did makes the look more appropriate for a graduation party, or brunch in the city. If you wanted to make this look more casual, all you would need to do is swap the heels for a pair of ballet flats or sandals.

This bright look is a great transition to summer because of it’s bright color palette. The floral print and breezy fabrics scream spring but bumping up the color scheme to neons makes it more appropriate for summer.  Neon colors can easily become “rave wear” if it’s not worn in a polished way. Tucking her loose chiffon shirt into her fitted shorts balances out the amount of leg she’s showing. It keeps the looks more sophisticated. So, when it comes to wearing neon colors, keep the shapes simple and it will make for a chic yet bold look!
