STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Born for Boho

June is a very confusing month for Mother Nature here in Wisconsin. One day it’s sunny and 82 degrees, perfect for shorts and sandals and the next it’s cloudy and 60 degrees making you rush to cover up. Needless to say, we are kept on our toes when it comes to deciding what to wear each day!

This week has started off a little chilly so this Fashionista opted for some jeans and a long sleeve top. Boho styles have been continually gaining popularity this year and has taken over summer fashions everywhere. Since boho looks are everywhere right now it can be really fun to play with colors, textures and patterns for these kinds of tops. I love this Fashionista’s white, flowing boho top for summer because it is still light for warmer weather, but covers your arms from the breeze of a chilly day.

Other than changing up the color or texture of your top to stand out you can play around with accessories. This look is all about simplicity with a pop of color. The long pearl embellished necklace keeps the easygoing vibe of the look, while adding the perfect amount of bling. The tan over the shoulder bag helps tie in the neutral colors in her bracelets. Lastly, her red flip flop sandals are the perfect touch of color and keep this outfit perfect for summer time.

So, whether it stays chilly all day or warms up in the afternoon, this Fashionista has created the perfect summer look. With jeans, a lightweight top and some flip flops, she is ready for whatever Mother Nature throws her way!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “When I wear plain solid colors, like this white shirt I like to dress it up with jewelry, but also have the option to not add anything and keep it simple. I also like to use my accessories or shoes (in this case the flip flops) to bring color into the basic outfit.”
