STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Bootie-licious

Style Advice of the Week

Happy two-more-days-until-Christmas everyone! The stockings are hung, the Christmas tree is decorated and a questionable Santa is sitting in every mall. This time of year is great for relaxation, rejuvenation and a little family bonding. But as a Style Guru, this time of year makes me so excited for finding new Fashionistas and Fashionistos. I cannot wait to get out and start snapping street style pictures. ‘Tis the season for showing off gifts from the holidays!

This Fashionista hasn’t even opened her presents yet and she still looks fabulous. One of the most important parts of an outfit to me is the shoes. You want to look great from head-to-toe. So many times I see people wearing a great ensemble until I look down at their feet. A beautiful skirt will be paired with rubber flip-flops and it makes me a little queasy. Don’t do it. This Fashionista has on to-die-for booties with metal hardware detailing. Booties are essential to any fashion lover’s closet. Not to mention you can get this kind of bootie without thousands of agonizing squats. What could be better? They immediately complete and add interest to an outfit. To bring even more attention to your shoes, take advice from this Fashionista and pair them with knee-high socks!

She completes her outfit with a corduroy circle skirt, striped turtleneck, vintage floral cardigan and a Dooney and Bourke cross-body. These items add uniqueness to her quirky fashion forward outfit.

This week, I encourage you to have a great holiday with loved ones and also to treat your feet to something sweet—Dr. Seuss would have been so proud of that line. But seriously, remember style is not just about having one fashionable item. People will notice if you have put effort into your entire outfit!
