Style Advice of the Week

There are (more than) a couple things that I’ve just never been very good at. These activities include Sudoku, all math, parking and running for long distances. Also, running for short distances. Basically all types of running. Anyway, along with all of those areas that I lack talent in is one other activity – trying to make my style even remotely bohemian.

I’ve always envied girls in long, flowy dresses (think Jessa on Girls) and their talent of bringing that very specific, hard to master bohemian vibe to their outfits. This Fashionista made me want to try even harder to bring more of a Jessa-inspired vibe to my outfits.

Take some cues from this Fashionista and look for a flowy top to wear over leggings for those not too cold, not too hot days (perfect for ever-changing Florida weather). Check out this option from Free People for some inspiration. If you’re really feeling this Fashionista’s look (I wouldn’t blame you), try to find some combat boots to add just the right amount of edge to the look.

Are you in the mood for a dress instead? Find the perfect white lace dress to pull off an effortless, breezy look. Paired with the perfect booties, you’ve got yourself a look that is worthy of any bohemian style star and, not to mention, just plain comfy.

When looking for the perfect accessories to complete your bohemian look, the simpler, the better. Opt for delicate, feminine gold jewelry instead of bold statement pieces. The simplicity of the jewelry will balance perfectly with the soft bohemian look.
