With 80 degree weather and 10,000 plus lakes in Minnesota every weekend is one for the books. Relaxing on a boat or floating on the water is everyone’s ideal weekend getaway. Because when you’re on a lake in Minnesota it seems that there is never a time you won’t see someone you know so it is always ideal to look your best. This Fashionisto shows us how to dress for a day spent out in the sun.
Pairing blue shorts with a retro teal tank is an awesome use of color. Actually, wearing two different shades of similar colors pleasantly makes any outfit brilliantly festive and upbeat. This gentleman simply pairs his casual clothes with none other than Sperry Top-Siders (I mean who goes boating without boat shoes?) and a radical sun hat. His hat is both purposeful and fashionable. A large brim hat keeps the sun off of your face when you’ve already soaked up a bit too much vitamin D and the nice drawstring strap will keep the hat around your neck when you no longer want to wear it. This simple outfit is awesome for any weekend on the lake because it is both comfortable and cool.
To dress up this outfit for a dinner boat date wear similar shorts that are able to be cuffed and pair with a blue long sleeve dress shirt. Along with the clothes wear TOMS brogues and a nice watch and you will be looking dapper long past the sunset.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Wear what feels right and don’t let others tell you what you can and can not wear.”
