STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Blue Foundation

Blue is one of my favorite colors. It’s a cool tone and very inviting, and it brings out my eyes when I wear it. Blue is also supposed to be the color to incorporate into your interview attire. Navy blue is best for conservative wear and you can get more colorful the more creative the position is. Not only is blue powerful, but it can be flattering on many people as long as you choose the right shade. Pastels look amazing next to a bronzed glow and royal blues really pop against the fairer tones. So, go ahead and add some blue to your closet if you haven’t already!

Even I like to be colorful sometimes! When I saw Honor’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear line, I absolutely loved the icy pale blues. It’s a bit romantic and soft yet can be paired to freshen up many of your old outfits. The pale blue coat that opened the show was gorgeous and could instantly pull an outfit together. It’s colorful, yet subtle all at once.

I caught this Fashionista shopping when I couldn’t help but notice how she incorporated two shades of blue into her outfit. The royal blue striped dress really helped her kate spade purse pop with its pastel color. Let’s be honest though, I’ve always loved kate spade bags and it really caught my eye! She kept it pretty and simple with her white circle necklace and black sandals. If she wanted to transition the look from day to night, all she’d have to do is swap the sandals for pumps and the satchel for a clutch!
