As the school year is quickly approaching here on the Hudson River, every Fashionista/o cannot wait to show off all of their fall fashions, especially once trends come off the runway post Fashion Week. The first day of classes is also when everyone wants to look their best and make a lasting impression on their peers. As we all go through the transition from tank tops and shorts to sweaters and jeans this Fashionista combines both as the leaves fall from the trees.
This Fashionista’s choice for her first day of classes is a combination of a simple black dress with current trends for the upcoming season. A black dress is one of the few pieces of clothing that will never go out of style. A black dress can be bought at a variety of stores and of course in a great selection of silhouettes! A hot commodity for fall 2013 is a patterned kimono that she styled with her black dress and flats. Kimonos and cardigans are great for those crisp fall mornings when you have to walk from class to class. This Fashionista’s completes her outfit with the very popular shoe, a black pair of Cooperative Penelope D’Orsay Skimmers, which can be bought at Urban Outfitters in an array of colors.
She adds finishing touches for her outfit with bold, turquoise earrings for a pop of color, a gold Michael Kors watch and a matching black and gold kate spade bangle. The pairing of accessories, clothing and shoes make a great first day of class outfit and also makes this Fashionista one of chicest Fashionistas on campus.
Fall is an exciting time for the fashion world since New York Fashion Week is creeping up in the next few weeks. There is so much anticipation to see what trends will be brought to campuses from the runway and how the Fashionistas/os on our own campuses will choose to style them.
