STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Behold the Midi!

Now that we can officially say that it is summer, and due to the intense weather we want to wear less and more comfortable clothing. The main things we gravitate towards are short-shorts, mini skirts, mini dresses or clothes that are very revealing because of the heat. There is obviously nothing wrong with wearing clothes like this, but sometimes we need to switch it up and put on something more stylish. If I told you that you could wear something that is really fashionable and not so short and revealing, would you believe me? Well, behold the midi!

The midi skirt/dress length first became popular in the 1940s, and was a trend that reappeared in other decades such as the ’60s and ’70s. Throughout the years, this length has been debated upon several times, with people loving it to others absolutely hating it. Today, many designers have introduced the midi length trend into their collections, honing in on the flexible wearability and versatility. This Fashionista is sporting a more casual, laid-back look with her fitted, midi dress. Her outfit is perfect for a chill summer day as it is easy to walk around and lounge in. Instead of putting on a lot of jewelry, this Fashionista takes a different route by wearing an orange-red skinny belt to add some color. She also didn’t feel the need to go crazy with the shoes and just kept it simple with these trendy oxfords that look super comfy to take a stroll in.
